On April 24th, Nicole King represented the BEACH Lab at the University of South Carolina Undergraduate Discovery Day. Nicole presented a poster about the relationship between neighborhood walkability and neighborhood satisfaction. Specifically, the research looked at social support as a mediating variable in this relationship. This research was the result of an independent study conducted as part of the Greenville Healthy Neighborhoods Project, based in Greenville, SC, which Nicole assisted with during Fall and Spring 2014-2015. The poster presentation even won an award, a tie for 1st place in the Public Health category!
